Go to Status page to check the WAN IP address of the router. For the Protocol, we recommend you select ALL. Type the IP address and the port used by the camera in the corresponding field. Go to Forwarding > Virtual Servers and click Add New. Log into your router’s management page (). For this example, we are using a TP-Link TL-WR941ND. Consult your router’s technical support accordingly. The configuration depends on the router model. However some ISPs block port 80, so you may need to change the port number accordingly. Usually there is no need to change the port number. Security Monitor Pro will warn you, if you have selected a port that is being used by another program. If this is the case with your ISP, you will need to select higher-numbered ports. Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) block low-numbered ports (below 1024).
Two cameras can not broadcast using the same port. You can choose different ports, if you prefer. The first camera to start broadcasting will default to port 1030, the next 1031, and so on. Note: User can connect to this machine using anyone of the IP address listed in this drop down.īroadcast Port: Security Monitor Pro will automatically fill in a port number. Select the IP address from which you want to Broadcast.
If multiple IP addresses are not configured then only Primary IP address will be shown in a form of label. By default, the first IP address of your computer will be selected. View broadcast from IP address: All the IP addresses configured for your machine will be listed in this drop down.
To configure broadcast settings, click Camera > Manage Cameras > Edit Camera > Broadcast.īroadcast Profile: You can select the appropriate broadcast profile from the drop-down menu.
